FUJI XEROX M205f - Admin Password Reset

If happen to forget the admin login password, you wont be able to change some setting in the printer properties like email setting, address book using browser mode.

Lucky me to found out that you could use Initialize NVM at the printer to reboot, menu parameters or except parameter for the network are reset to their factory default values.

Go to System -> Admin Menu -> Maintenance -> Initiailize NVM -> Select System Section

FUJI XEROX M205f - IP changed when Router Power OFF

Recently encounter cannot print issue and found out that the printer IP address has been changed when router power OFF (as shown below).

To prevent this problem, it is advise the configure the port using Printer Name instead of IP address. It should solve the print fail issue due to IP changed by router (as shown below).

 

To get Printer Name, you could browse using file explorer for printer name or login to printer properties using internet explorer.

 

 





FUJI XEROX M205f - Send to Email

After configure the email setting, below are some info on how to send to email.

E-Mail to = scan image will send to this email address
From Setting = the sender email address (If did not select, it will use printer machine email address.)

FUJI XEROX M205f - Send to Email Setting

I'm having a hard time to configure my FUJI XEROX M205f to Send to Email.

At first I try using my hotmail account on the M205f E-mail setting, but it kept prompt error 016-764 and 016-xxx (POP or SMTP error). The following was my setting using hotmail account.

E-mail Send Authentication : *All tried
Login Name : xxx@hotmail.com
Password : xxx

POP3 Server Address (Port Number) : pop3.live.com (995)
Login Name : xxx@hotmail.com
Password : xxx

The above setting was working fine with my outlook (Able to send and receive email), but it won't work on M205f printer.

Then, I decided to try use other email configuration and I choose my singnet account.

Machine's Email Address : xxx@singnet.com.sg
SMTP Server Address (Port Number) : mail.singnet.com.sg (25)

E-mail Send Authentication : * POP before SMTP (Plain)
Login Name : xxx
Password : xxx

POP3 Server Address (Port Number) : pop.singnet.com.sg (110)
Login Name : xxx
Password : xxx

Surprisingly, it works!!!

To Goto printer setting
1) Execute "Printer Setting Utility" -> then Select "Internet Services" -> Click "Display"

2) Then an Internet Explorer will opened.

3) Go to Properties and select "E-mail"
